“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

Dear Family and Friends, 
 

      If you’ll recall, last month I wrote about the opportunity I was going to have to get away for a few days with a friend for some time with God away from normal life.  Well, the trip didn’t happen how I wanted it to, however, it turned out better than I could have imagined.  For a variety of reasons, my friend was not able to come, which turned out to be a blessing because I was able to experience a few days of personal time with just God and myself. 

Seriously, there is nothing that gives me greater joy than sharing the great times in life with God, thanking Him appropriately for those. There is also nothing that gives me greater peace and relief than sharing those incredibly tough times with God, thanking Him for seeing me through those times. We don’t have to go through life alone. We have a God who promises to be with us through the good times as well as the bad.
